Security settings
This page helps admins manage organization sign-in security in Parsepoint. Use it to explain SSO providers, password policy, two-factor authentication requirements, security audit logs, and notifications without exposing internal security details.
Before you start
- You need administrator or security administrator privileges.
- SSO setup may require information from your company’s identity provider admin.
- Two-factor authentication settings affect username and password users.
Open Security
Open Settings and select Security. If you cannot open it, contact an organization admin.
Configure SSO providers
Use SSO Providers to add or manage SSO connections such as Microsoft or SAML providers.
Review security configuration
Use Security Configuration for password policies, two-factor requirements, and session-related settings.
Review audit and notifications
Use Audit Logs to inspect security events and Notifications to configure alerts for security activity.
Parsepoint two-factor authentication applies to username and password sign-ins. Microsoft SSO users continue to satisfy MFA through their identity provider when their company enforces it there.
What happens next
Security changes affect future sign-ins and may require users to complete setup at next login. Users without completed authenticator setup may be directed to the two-factor setup page before they can continue.
If you do not see this option
You need administrator or security administrator privileges. Contact an organization admin if you see Insufficient Permissions.
Troubleshooting
If SSO works but the user cannot enter Parsepoint, confirm the user is invited or auto-provisioning is enabled. If two-factor setup cannot start, ask the user to retry, sign out, or contact support with the organization name and email address.
