Utility Bills
This page helps users understand the Utility Bills workspace. Use it when you need to find source utility documents, understand parsing status, assign facilities, export selected bills, reprocess failures, or open a bill for review.
Before you start
- You need Utility Manager access.
- Uploaded documents appear in the active organization only.
- Facility assignment controls may require write access.
Use the workspace
The table shows File, Uploaded Date, Usage Period, Activity Type, Component Count, Facility, Parsing Status, and Actions. Search by utility document, filter by usage period, activity type, or facility match, and use table settings to manage visible columns.
Common states
| State | Meaning | User action |
|---|---|---|
| Uploaded | Parsepoint received the document. | Wait for queueing or processing. |
| Queued | The document is waiting for extraction. | Wait and refresh if needed. |
| Extracting or Processing | Parsepoint is reading the file. | Avoid duplicate uploads while processing. |
| Ready for review or Ready | Extracted data is available. | Select Review. |
| Verified | A reviewer has confirmed the record. | Use reports or exports. |
| Failed | Extraction did not complete. | Use Reprocess or contact support. |
What happens next
Reviewed documents feed Utility Data and Utility Reporting. Selected rows can be exported as CSV, Excel, or original PDFs when download actions are available.
If you do not see this option
The Upload Utility Documents button may be hidden on company-level review surfaces or when your role cannot upload. Facility assignment can also be unavailable when no facility options are loaded.
Troubleshooting
Use Clear to remove active filters when expected bills are missing. If a failed bill keeps failing after reprocess, include the file name, activity type, and facility in a support request.
