Utility Reporting
This page helps managers and analysts understand Utility Reporting. Use it when you need trends, spend, consumption, energy intensity, source drilldowns, reporting filters, proration choices, bill counts, or exported report workbooks.
Before you start
- You need Utility Manager access.
- Facilities and utility records must exist for the active organization.
- Some comparisons require at least two periods of data.
Use the reporting tabs
- Trendlines shows consumption and cost movement over time.
- Spend by Facility compares utility spend by facility.
- Consumption by Facility compares usage or bill counts by activity type and facility.
- Energy Intensity relates energy to facility intensity metrics when available.
Controls and states
Use filters for utility type, facility, time period, grouping, comparison, and proration method. The Consumption by Facility tab includes Prorated and Bill Count modes. Drilldowns open source invoices, and manual data can be added from empty source contexts.
What happens next
The report updates after you apply filters. Exports follow the selected filters and proration method, and include report worksheets rather than raw unallocated bill-month sheets.
If you do not see this option
The page may be hidden without Utility Manager access. Empty tabs usually mean there are no matching records, no facilities, insufficient historical data, or filters are too narrow.
Troubleshooting
Use Reset filters when a report has no rows. If units look unexpected, confirm Utility Manager unit settings. If a source drilldown has no invoices, add data manually or check the underlying Utility Data rows.
