File Room
This page helps users understand File Room, the document repository for folders, files, shared resources, quick access, and document actions. Use it when you need to upload, find, preview, download, share, move, copy, delete, or restore documents.
Before you start
- You need File Room access for the active organization.
- Sharing and access management may require additional role permissions.
- Files moved to trash may remain recoverable for a visible retention period.
Find documents
Use Search files and folders, grid or list view, sorting, and pinned quick-access folders.
Add content
Select New folder to create a folder or Upload to add files. Drag-and-drop may be available in folder views.
Act on items
Use item actions such as Preview, Download, Share, Manage Access, Copy, Move, Delete, Pin, or Unpin.
Recover deleted items
Open Trash when you need to recover or permanently delete items that were removed.
What happens next
Uploaded and organized documents remain available to users with access. Shared links can have active, expiring, expired, or revoked states depending on how they were created.
If you do not see this option
You may not have File Room access, the folder may be empty, or sharing actions may be restricted by your role.
Troubleshooting
- This folder is empty: upload files or check a different folder.
- Preview not available: download the file or open it in a new tab if supported.
- Items are already in this location: choose a different destination in the move dialog.
