Report on utility data
This page helps managers and analysts turn reviewed utility rows into reports for cost, consumption, and facility performance. Use it after Utility Data contains enough records for the selected facilities and time period.
Before you start
- You need Utility Manager access.
- Facilities and utility records must exist for the active organization.
- For year-over-year analysis, you need data across comparable periods.
Open Utility Reporting
Open Facility Manager and select Utility Reporting. Choose a tab: Trendlines, Spend by Facility, Consumption by Facility, or Energy Intensity.
Apply filters
Use utility type, facility, time period, date grouping, comparison, and proration method controls. Select Apply Filters when prompted.
Choose value mode
On Consumption by Facility, switch between prorated values and Bill Count when you need either usage amounts or the number of source bills.
Drill into sources
Hover or select report cells and chart points to open source invoice details. Use Add Data Manually from source drilldowns when a period needs a manual row.
Export the report
Select Export Report to download the current report workbook. The export follows the active filters and selected proration method.
What happens next
Reports show trendlines, spend, consumption, energy intensity, drilldowns, and exported workbooks for the selected organization context. Manual data appears distinctly in reporting tables when included.
If you do not see this option
Utility Reporting may be hidden without Utility Manager access. A tab may show no data until facilities and utility records exist for the selected period.
Troubleshooting
- No Utility Data Available: upload utility bills or add manual data.
- No data matches your filters: reset filters or choose a broader date range.
- Insufficient Data for Comparison: upload more historical periods before using year-over-year views.
- No data available to export: change filters until report data appears.
