Correct utility data

This page helps Utility Manager users keep the Utility Data table accurate after documents are parsed. Use it when a row needs correction, a bill was not parsed automatically, manual activity data must be added, or potential duplicates need review.

Before you start

  • You need Utility Manager access for the active organization.
  • For manual entry, know the facility, vendor, activity type, usage period, amount, usage value, and unit where available.
  • For bulk import, use the provided template and review mapped rows before submitting.

Open Utility Data

Open Facility Manager and select Utility Data. Use search, column filters, and table settings to find the rows you need.

Review or edit a row

Use the row preview action to open the bill review drawer. Edit supported fields, save changes, and return to the table.

Add manual data

Select Add data manually for one record, or Bulk upload for a spreadsheet. Review mapped rows before submitting the import.

Flag and clear data issues

Select Flag Data Issues to scan for potential duplicates, unmapped units, missing native usage, and similar-cost rows. Use Unflag row after review, or delete selected rows only when you are sure they should be removed.

What happens next

Manual rows and corrected rows appear in Utility Data and can contribute to Utility Reporting. The table can export matching rows as Excel or CSV from Table settings.

If you do not see this option

Manual entry, bulk import, delete, and unflag actions may require write access. If a report still does not change after correction, refresh the reporting page and check filters.

Troubleshooting

  • No data available to export: clear filters or widen the search.
  • Export taking longer than expected: narrow filters or retry CSV for a smaller file.
  • No active data quality issues were found: the scan did not find review flags in the current organization.
  • Selected issue rows are missing IDs: refresh the scan and try again.
